Beat the winter time blahs and dance the night away during the Ludington Area Center for the Arts’ (LACA) 3rd annual Silent Disco Saturday, March 1 from 7-11 p.m.
The concept is simple… It’s your typical dance party… with no speakers or amps. Instead, attendees don wireless headphones and turn them to various stations, then boogie on the dance floor amidst other revelers dancing to whatever’s in their headphones.
LACA’s Silent Disco will feature three channels, each with its own genera of music, for attendees to choose from. If you don’t like a song, simply switch your headphones from one channel to the next to keep the party going.
Only 75 sets of headphones will be available for the March 1 Silent Disco so you will want to purchase your tickets in advance. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in the LACA gift shop or online at www.ludingtonartscenter.org. This is an all-ages event.
As part of a new promotion with Jamesport Brewing Co. and Ludington Bay Brewing, all tickets purchased at LACA will include a coupon for $2 off your first pint at either establishment. This special offer is good for 30 days from concert date on front of ticket.
Party-goers can turn down the volume of their headphones or take them off whenever they want to chat with others. Since there are no blaring speakers, it’s way easier to have conversations and meet new people while taking a break and enjoying a drink from the cash bar.
The Silent Disco vibe is undeniable when you experience socializing, dancing and laughing at your friend's excitement from hearing their favorite songs. Don't overthink it! Come allow us to wow your socks off! Grab your good shoes and your best friends and prepare for a night to remember!
The Ludington Area Center for the Arts is a 501c3 Not for Profit that strives to foster a community where arts and culture bring us together, feed the creative spirit, and fuel community growth.
