Join us for a special evening that is part silent book club, part community read-in, and part collective action. Here’s what to expect:✨ Silent Reading: Bring your favorite book, or grab one from our shelves, and spend quiet time reading in solidarity with others who believe in the freedom to read.
✨ Community Action: Alongside reading, we’ll have opportunities to take action. From writing postcards and signing petitions to connecting with local activists working on issues tied to censorship, representation, and community rights.
✨ Space to Connect: This isn’t just about books, it’s about people. We’ll create a space to reflect, share, and stand together with movements that remind us our voices matter.
Everyone who attends will be entered into a raffle to win a Banned Books tote.
This event is free to attend, but RSVPs are appreciated so we can plan enough seating (note that comfy chairs are limited).
Whether you come for the quiet reading, the activism, or simply to be part of something bigger, you’ll leave reminded that stories connect us, sustain us, and remind us we belong to one another.
