Join us for a cozy afternoon of reading silently side by side with a wonderful community of book lovers!📖 Bring your own book- whatever you are currently reading, grab a delicious coffee from The Cat’s Meow, and settle in with us for a set aside, uninterrupted silent time of reading with friends! Although the cat’s may be quite the distraction, but that’s part of the fun!😸 Feel free to get up and wander at any time, pet and play with the cats, and maybe adopt a new fur baby! 😉
‼️We are meeting inside the cat room at The Cat’s Meow Cat Cafe! To be in this room, members are required to sign a waiver and pay the $5 waiver fee. This can be done with cash or card and can be added on to your drink/snack order! And please note that we will be surrounded by cats with all their fluffy fur and shedding, so please be careful or join us at a different meet if you are allergic!‼️
Our meets are casual and come and go as you please! If you need to, pop in late and just take a seat to start reading with us! If you need to leave early, feel free to do so! 🤗
At every meet we have a book swap and a book giveaway! Bring a book that is old to you to swap for something new to you! Extra book swap books will be available so this is open to everyone, whether you brought a swap book or not! Our giveaway is a different book each meet, and I will provide the books and a poll on each event page under the discussion tab for those going to that meet to vote for which book they would like as the giveaway book!
‼️Usually the giveaway winner is drawn at the end of our silent reading time at the end of our meet, but if you need to leave early and want to enter the giveaway, please let me know ahead of time or at the start of the meet so I can draw the winner earlier! 🎉
📚What to expect:
- Bring your own book!
- Purchase a drink or snack from our local business partner to support them!
- Introductions: your name and what book you brought with you!
- Silent reading time for about an hour!
- Draw the book giveaway winner!
- Book swap, socialize (optional), end of meet!
