Enter the fascinating world of botanical illustration at our in-person workshop, inspired by the sabal palm triptych.
About this Event

Join us for a hands-on, botanical illustration workshop at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

This workshop takes the life-size, collaborative paintings of the sabal palm (currently on display in the exhibition Silent Archive) as inspiration.

Guided by the botanical illustrators Jacqui Pestell and Sarah Roberts, you will explore the fascinating structures of palm leaves and fruits through drawing and painting in watercolour, taking a close look at the intricate architecture, colour and forms of these amazing plants.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop is sure to motivate and delight!

Please meet on the day at the entrance to Silent Archive in Inverleith House at RBGE.

Suitable for age 12+. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

All materials will be provided.
