About this Event
Join us for the SIIPA Invasive Plant Management Training!
Event Date: October 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM (Central Time)
Join UF/IFAS for this free training workshop on creating data-driven invasive plant treatment plans using the SIIPA (Spatial Invasive Infestation and Priority Analysis) tool. Participants will finish this training with a rough draft of an annual treatment plan, and will have the opportunity for ongoing support in using SIIPA and EDDMapS in planning their invasive management activities.
Please bring your own laptop for this workshop, as the tool is web-based . You can visit https://www.eddmaps.org/project/florida/siipa/#home to learn more about the SIIPA tool, or just come willing to learn!
The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm, with an hour break for lunch. As part of the training, you will also be visiting a nearby outdoor site to collect test data to use in crafting a SIIPA model.
Please feel free to contact [email protected] for any questions.
