A special opportunity to shake off any winter blues and connect to the unfolding season to mark this special moment in the Celtic calendar once known as Imbolc. We will spend time in the beautiful woodland garden of Burgie Arboretum, practicing Shinrin Yoku, also known as Forest Bathing. This will involve guided meditation, exercises to open our senses, gentle nature connection practices, sharing with like-minded folk and a hot shot of vegan cacao to warm us up!
Why Forest Bathe? What's it all about?
Forest Bathing is a form of mindfulness in nature. Sessions are designed to slow ourselves down, to open our often underused senses to the natural world and to allow ourselves to be inspired by the natural world.
It is not your usual nature walk! We are not going to be marching from one point to the next, thinking of lunch :-) It is a tech free, guided, structured experience, giving us precious designated time to sink in and experience the wonderful world we share.
Benefits can include:
- Lowered cortisol
- Lowered blood pressure
- Lowered anxiety
- Improved mood
- Improved immunity
- Stimulated creativity
- A more rested nervous system
£20, £15 concs. One 'pay what you can space available' - pm me if you need this :-)
