Join us in welcoming author Miranda Miller and her registered therapy dog, Arya, to Fireside Books! They will be here on Saturday, November 15th from 1:00-4:00pm signing copies of their book Good Job, Arya!About the book:
The Arya Bear Adventures picture book series is based on real-life experiences of author Miranda Miller’s registered therapy dog.
With her bright pink leg warmers, orange bandana, and pretty bow in her wild hair, Arya brings joy, calm, and just the right kind of chaos to the people who need it most as she comforts kids and families during her hospital work.
Whether it’s a young child scared of the loud machines in her hospital room, or a grouchy old man who simply doesn’t want to be there, or a boy in the waiting room whose silence betrays his anxiety, Arya has a wiggle, trick, happy tail thump, or a silly belly flop to put everyone at ease and bring laughs and smiles.
Families and educators of young children will delight in this gentle, heartwarming story that helps young readers understand the powerful role therapy dogs play in schools, nursing homes, and hospitals just by showing up and being themselves.
About the author:
