Immerse yourself in a stunning interdisciplinary celebration of Fleetwood Mac, one of music’s most influential and iconic acts. Renowned for their masterful blend of rock, pop, and heartfelt storytelling, Fleetwood Mac crafted a sonic touchstone defined by intricate harmonies, lush arrangements, and compelling narratives. Their emotional depth, innovative production techniques, and almost mystical chemistry have allowed their music to transcend time and resonate with new generations.
Discover a stellar global cast of over 80 Berklee students, showcasing a dynamic array of vocalists, instrumentalists, arrangers, track producers, choreographers, dancers, and visual artists—each selected for their coveted spot from hundreds of auditions. This captivating production will not only highlight their extraordinary artistry but also celebrate the rich tapestry of their vibrant cultures.
Through inspired arrangements, dynamic medleys, and special musical guests, the cast will breathe new life into Fleetwood Mac’s most indelible repertoire, along with selections from the solo works of its members. Prepare to enjoy classics such as “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Rhiannon,” “Landslide,” “Don’t Stop,” “Little Lies,” “The Chain,” “Songbird,” “Gypsy,” “Big Love,” “Albatross,” “Sara,” “Edge of Seventeen,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Silver Springs,” “Never Going Back Again,” “Leather and Lace,” “Gold Dust Woman,” and “Everywhere,” among many others.
Originally founded by guitarist Peter Green, in London in 1967, Fleetwood Mac evolved into an Anglo-American band that experienced several lineup changes before solidifying with the classic ensemble of Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood. With over 120 million records sold worldwide and a discography that includes 18 studio albums and 10 live albums, Fleetwood Mac has earned numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, seven Grammy nominations, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. The band has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and multiple American Music Awards. Its landmark 1977 album, Rumours, remains one of the best-selling albums of all time.
With a steadfast commitment to excellence in the performing arts—and a belief in music's power to unite—Great American Songbook seeks to celebrate the breadth, depth, and diversity of our remarkable student body, featuring a vibrant array of instrumentation, majors, and creative specializations throughout the Berklee curriculum.
The concert is produced by Maureen McMullan PD ’09.
