Fleetwood Mac, one of music’s most influential and iconic acts. Renowned for their masterful blend of rock, pop, and heartfelt storytelling, Fleetwood Mac crafted a sonic touchstone defined by intricate harmonies, lush arrangements, and compelling narratives. Their emotional depth, innovative production techniques, and almost mystical chemistry have allowed their music to transcend time and resonate with new generations.
Discover a stellar global cast of over 100 Berklee students from 30 countries, showcasing a dynamic array of vocalists, instrumentalists, arrangers, conductors, track producers, choreographers, dancers, and visual artists—each selected for their coveted spot from hundreds of auditions. This captivating production will not only highlight their extraordinary artistry but also celebrate the rich tapestry of their vibrant cultures.
Through inspired arrangements and dynamic medleys, the cast will breathe new life into Fleetwood Mac’s most indelible repertoire, along with selections from the solo works of its members. Prepare to enjoy classics such as “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Rhiannon,” “Landslide,” “Don’t Stop,” “Little Lies,” “The Chain,” “Songbird,” “Gypsy,” “Big Love,” “Albatross,” “Sara,” “Edge of Seventeen,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Silver Springs,” “Never Going Back Again,” “Leather and Lace,” “Gold Dust Woman,” and “Everywhere,” among many others.
Special guest Taku Hirano ’95, a world-renowned percussionist and Berklee alumnus who has toured extensively with Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, will join the student ensemble to perform on two arrangements. Hirano was the first Berklee student to study hand percussion as a principal instrument and has gone on to tour and record with some of the industry’s biggest names such as Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Herbie Hancock, ‘86H, John Legend, ‘20H, Usher ‘23H, The Temptations, and LeAnn Rimes, to name but a few.
With a steadfast commitment to excellence in the performing arts—and a belief in music’s power to unite—the Great American Songbook concert is presented annually to pay tribute to songwriters whose work has endured across generations and continues to inspire listeners, as well as writers and artists, around the world. The production celebrates the breadth, depth, and diversity of our remarkable student body, featuring a vibrant array of instrumentation, majors, and creative specializations throughout the Berklee curriculum.
