Our in-store events programme returns with a bang for 2025, kicking off with none other than Finlay Shakespeare of Bristol-based Future Sound Systems!

After making waves with some of the coolest Eurorack modules around, last year Future Sound Systems channelled all their engineering expertise into an uncompromising standalone synth. The result was Cric: a matrix-patchable desktop synthesiser with unique looks and an even more striking sound.

At this Signal Sounds soiree, Finlay will demo the Cric, talk about the design process, and share his philosophy and inspirations for the synthesiser. There will be a Q&A so you can pick his sizable brain on anything to do with Cric, Future Sound Systems or synth design in general.

Tickets are free; beers and pizzas are available from 6.30pm (non-alcoholic and vegan options are available!) and the event will start at 7pm. Later in the evening, Finlay will be performing at Attack Release at Bloc so we’ll head along there afterwards.
