Help Us Spread the Word!The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program sign-up is happening this Saturday, September 6th, at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Seniors over 60 who qualify will receive $50 in vouchers to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables directly from local North Carolina farmers. They can also use the vouchers to buy honey from local beekeepers. This year, we’ll have over 9 vendors offering a wide variety of fresh, local produce to choose from.
This is the only date for seniors to register for the program at our market. Vouchers must be used by September 27th as that will be the last day we can offer the program to seniors.
Seniors in our community are among those most affected by food insecurity. Please take a moment to share this information with a senior you know so they don’t miss out on this important opportunity.
