Help select a beer recipe for the Siebel Institute's 150th birthday!On Sunday, August 14, Siebel Institute staff will be at Dovetail Brewing as part of Siebel’s 150th Anniversary celebration, and they are asking for the assistance of thirsty customers for some important beer flavor analysis!
Siebel Institute has brewed two different versions of a special Lager recipe with truly historic roots. Siebel would like you to participate in a taste test where you will be given samples of both beers to taste. Analyze them carefully, and when you have decided which version you prefer, you vote for the winner. When the results are tabulated in the coming weeks, the winning recipe will be made into an “Open Source” recipe so brewers around the world can recreate the beer as homebrew or as professionally-made beer.
The sampling start at 1pm til the kegs run out, and if you have any questions about the beer, about brewing, or about the history of Siebel Institute and its legacy of contributions to brewing science and culture, Keith Lemcke of Siebel Institute will be on hand to answer. While you are there, don’t forget to experience the amazing beers of Siebel graduates Hagen Dost and Bill Wesselink and the brewing crew of Dovetail Brewing!
