Discover the magic of chalk in this Sidewalk Chalk Mini Camp.-Dive into color theory as we learn how to apply chalk to surfaces, enjoy blending and creating new colors, experiment mixing different color temperatures, and create a beautiful mosaic masterpiece as a group. This is the perfect class to start you on your art journey with color theory skills that can be used with any type of medium.
-Price of class is $20 per participant. All art supplies are included. At the end of the class, you will be able to bring home your own supplies to continue your sidewalk chalk journey including a 48-piece Crayola chalk set, gloves to protect your hands, and a roll of tape to make your own mosaics or clean edged art pieces at home. Wear clothes that can get dirty.
-This class best serves adults and children 8+ and class size is limited to 10 participants.
-This class will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 4-5 pm at The Local Artisan Collective located at 2371 Kiesel Ave., Ogden. Instruction will be held outdoors. Please check in at the desk to be directed.
-Class is taught by Jamie Vandenberg, a self-taught sidewalk chalk artist who has been creating chalk art for over 10 years. Jamie started competing in sidewalk chalk competitions 6 years ago. The skills she has obtained from chalk over the years have helped her work in other mediums including charcoal, watercolor, pastels, markers, and colored pencil, and she continues to explore and learn new art mediums. She has found joy through being creative and loves to pass that joy on to others.
