Coming up next Friday- Sidewalk Astronomy along the Boardwalk in Wynyard.
Join the Astronomical Society of Tasmania to peer through telescopes and catch a glimpse of the night sky — right from the waterfront. Depending on the weather, we may be able to view a number of fascinating objects, such as the Jewel Box, Gem and Pearl Open Star Clusters, and the planet Mars. As constellations such as Scorpius and Sagittarius rise in the eastern sky during the course of the evening, we may be able to view open star and globular clusters and the Lagoon Nebula. Come along for a friendly introduction to telescopes and stargazing!
