Could you…Open your garden for a day, to celebrate the summer and support the local hospice service?
This year, we are delighted to launch our very own Open Gardens project, to celebrate the hidden beauty of the Sid Valley, and 40 years of our hospice service.
We are inviting the community to open their garden gates, catch up with old friends and may be make some new ones, whilst sharing some ‘green-fingered’ joy and raising vital awareness - and perhaps, some funds - for us, as the local hospice service for Sidmouth and the Sid Valley.
Would you…
Like to take part? We’re looking for Sid Valley gardens of all shapes and sizes, from the grand and glorious, to the petit and pretty, cottage and kitchen gardens included!
You simply need to offer an open space on a particular day this summer – any time from May-August 2025 - when you can enjoy the appreciation of your visitors and may be offer a cuppa and a slice of something nice in return.
Awareness and community connection means so much to our charity, and this theme is at the heart of our Sid Valley Open Gardens project.
To be featured in our printed promotional leaflet, you’ll need to register your Sid Valley Open Gardens event with us by Saturday 1st March 2025.
Once registered, we will send out our information pack, which will include a variety of hints, tips and guidance to make your event great.
If you’d like to take part, please don’t hesitate. Contact our Community Team on 01395 578707 or email Sharon Coombes, Head of Community Engagement via [email protected]
