About this Event
Travel with us to Sicily and learn to make arancini from scratch stuffed with a variety of fillings. This class is vegetarian friendly with a number of filling options for your aracnini.
You will learn how to make:
- The perfect risotto for the arancini
- Italian Besciamella Sauce
- Eggplant Caponata
- Sicilian Ragu with peas
By the end of the class you will be rolling out arancini like a tiny Sicilian Nonna or Nonno.
In this hands-on experience, you'll master the art of making crispy, golden arancini made with delicious risotto and stuffed with a variety of savory fillings. After learning the basics, you will get to choose your own fillings and make 3-4 arancini - enough to sample on site and take home!
All classes are hands-on. Everything will be made from scratch and by hand.
Classes are held at IL LABORATORIO - a new cooking class kitchen located at 3101 Guess Rd Durham (not at the pasta shop). All participants receive a Class Recipe Book via email after the class with the recipes from the class.

Daniela is a 1st generation Italian American who moved to NC from Clearwater, Florida where she grew up in her family’s Italian market. That is where Daniela grew a love for baking, cooking and hospitality. She now owns her own businesses Ds Corner Kitchen, where she offers weekly meal prep services. She also owns Baked By D and loves keeping Italian traditions alive by offering classic Italian baked good. Having baked a long side her Italian mother for most of her life, she is excited to share everything she’s learned over the years with people who attend her Italian cookie classes.

No RefundsAll classes are non-refundable; however, we can move your registration to a different date if you are unable to make it to the class (must give us 7 days notice).
