Under the skies with Northern Lights, live The Nenets, about 40,000 nomadic herders, known as the Siberian cowboys. Nenets are reindeer herders, who periodically migrate through the Yamal Peninsula. Yamalia in the language of the indigenous Nenets means "the end of the world." It's a remote, windswept place of permafrost tundra, meandering rivers, and dwarf shrubs, and has been home to these reindeer herders for over a thousand years.The Nenets have thrived for more than a millennium living with temperatures ranging from -50 ° C in winter to 35 ° C in summer. Annual migration, of more than 1,000 kilometers, involves the crossing of 48 kilometers of the frozen waters of the Ob River, in Siberia.
Every spring, the Nenets move their huge herds from winter pastures on the Russian mainland north to summer pastures on the Arctic Circle.
The reindeer is everything to the Nenets. In order to survive these extreme conditions, they live in pure leather tents and their clothing is fully adapted to their modus vivendi. They usually wear two pure leather jackets with gloves and thigh-high pure leather shoes. The women are the ones who sew these clothes every summer for the whole family in preparation for the following winter.

You will see the northern lights, become an explorer of Yamal culture, go hunting and fishing, feel and appreciate the taste of northern cuisine.
Day 1 // Salekhard
Arrival, transfer to the hotel, check in. Excursion to Salekhard, located on the Arctic Circle. The stele "66 parallel" is a geographical feature of the city. We will visit the essential Yamal museum with a unique display of well preserved in the permafrost of the baby mammoth Lyuba.
Day 2: Nenets
Breakfast in the hotel, drive to Nenets Camp. Accommodation in the Nenets chum (fur tent) with the family. In the camp, you will get acquainted with the way of life in the chum. We will live the life of reindeer herders, learn the rules of life in the chum, learn how to lasso a reindeer, prepare firewood for the stove, check the sleds, chop and bring ice, which will then make a delicious aromatic tea.
Day 3: Reindeers
Breakfast in the chum. Today we will see how reindeers are herded. You can touch these beautiful animals and feed them with bread, ride a reindeer sleigh and help the farm keepers with their daily duties.

Day 4: Sava Syo – Purification Ritual in Tundra
Sava Syo is located between Yar-Sale and Syunai-Sale settlement. When entering the territory of "Sawa Syo,” the guest undergoes a purification ritual with smoke through fumigation. This is a tradition that was born during the period of paganism. Ancient people believed that smoke drives away evil spirits.
Overnight in a warm chum, heated by firewood.
Day 5: Yar-Sale
Breakfast - Mangal party in Sawa-Syo. Today we hit the road to Yar-Sale, to visit the most migratory tribe in the world. Similarly, to other Nennets tribes, they all wear traditional clothes and live in fur chums. If we re lucky, we will see their migration – an endless reindeer caravan in the snow. The length can reach 8kms and consist of 11,000 reindeers and over 100 sledges. Drive to Salekhard in the evening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6: Departure
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure flight.

Activities: experience of Siberia indigenous tribe….in the snow!
Duration: 6 days off Moscow DME, PCR for return at DME airport.
