Join us for a special Shut Up and Write at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art! They are currently running a special exhibit inspired by Sabina Ott’s celebration of her artistic community, and are hosting us to celebrate the creative people of Madison.
The event will follow a similar schedule to a normal SUAW event, but will start with a brief presentation of the gallery to get us in the artistic mindset. Afterwards, we will proceed to the rooftop lounge at MMoCA for our writing hour.
I will be in the lobby until 6:00pm, if you're a bit late you can ask the front desk staff to be led to the gallery or rooftop lounge.
Remember, any form of writing is ok: novel, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, song, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
6:00 - Presentation of Sabrina Ott's work.
6:10 - Brief introductions of ourselves and share what we are working on.
6:20 - Timer starts.
7:20 - Check in on the progress we made, then keep writing or hang out for a while longer.
