Get Your Flip On! Pancake Feed on Shrove Tuesday!Join us for a delicious Pancake Feed on Shrove Tuesday, March 4 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Gregory United Methodist Church! We'll be serving up stacks of fluffy pancakes with all the fixings – syrup, butter, whipped cream, fruit, and more!
But why pancakes on Shrove Tuesday? Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. Traditionally, it was a time to use up rich ingredients like eggs, butter, and milk before the fasting and reflection of Lent began. Pancakes, being a perfect way to use these ingredients, became a popular and delicious way to celebrate before the more solemn season. It was a time for feasting and fun before a period of self-denial.
So, come celebrate with us! Enjoy a mountain of pancakes, connect with your community, and get ready for the Lenten season. All proceeds from the Pancake Feed will go to the Youth Group.
