"An extremely low budget 1974 yeti thriller that goes in a direction few first-time viewers will see coming." - Suburban Grindhouse: From Staten Island to Times Square and All the Sleaze Between
"The mutilated of the title are college students searching for Bigfoot. Serves 'em right." - Michael Weldon, The Psychotronic Encyclopedia
Bigfoot crashes the party in Shriek of the Mutilated, an essential chapter of unhinged cryptoid cinema. Anthropology professor Dr. Prell invites his students to a remote cabin in the mountains to research the mythical Abominable Snowman. Amidst sightings, dismemberments, and "strange smells," the group fears that the legendary monster is very real . . . and out for blood. Directed by Michael Findlay (Snuff), photographed by Roberta Findlay (A Woman's Torment), and produced and co-written by Ed Adlum (Invasion of the Blood Farmers), Shriek is an explosion of lo-fi gore, surrealist visuals, and baffling twists.
