Please join local PETA supporters to urge everyone to celebrate ThanksVegan by leaving turkeys and all other animals off the menu! Turkeys and other animals killed for food feel pain, fear, joy, and love. Yet, the billions of them that are killed for food every year are raised on crowded, filthy factory farms where it’s wall to wall misery before a terrifying trip to the slaughterhouse and a violent, painful death. Turkeys love their babies, they enjoy companionship, and they struggle desperately to escape being slaughtered. We can all help end this suffering by simply enjoying a delicious vegan Thanksgiving! WHEN: Tuesday, November 18, 2025, 11:30AM - 1:00PM
WHERE: Texas St & Marshall St - Shreveport, Louisiana (please see this map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/J6XaB1xcEzKx14rL8)
CONTACT: Mason at [email protected]
We have a required dress code! Please dress sharply in a PETA T-shirt, nice pants, and close-toed shoes. We must ensure that the focus remains on the animals without any distractions that could shift people’s attention. T-shirts will be available on-site for everyone.
All materials, such as posters, will be provided as well as a vegan lunch after the demo!
Please refrain from bringing dogs, as there might not be a comfortable place for them to lie down during the protest.
I hope to see you there!
Also, PETA would love to treat you and other activists to a dinner the night prior, regardless of whether you can come to this protest or not. We will be meeting at Taza Kabob and Grill (1911 Benton Rd, Bossier City) at 7:30PM on Monday, November 17th.
