Cost: $40 (Linage $12, Prize Fund $5, Scholarship Fund $20, Expenses $3)Fundraiser: The Tommy Boggs Showstopper 1st Annual No-Tap Fundraiser is to raise funds for the Showstopper Scholarship Fund. In 2024, the fund awarded three $1000 scholarships to local seniors.
Fundraiser Format: Donors will compete in a four-game, 9-pin no-tap tournament. What is a 9-pin no-tap? If a donor knocks down nine pins on the first ball of a frame donor will receive a strike. As this is a fundraiser to raise money for the Showstopper Scholarship Fund, the pay position will be limited based on the number of donors bowling (with under 30 bowling, only 1st will be paid). Donations will be accepted even if the donor doesn’t wish to bowl. In this case, 100% of the funds given will go directly into the Showstopper Scholarship Fund.
3-6-9 Ticket Purchase: $10 (100% Showstopper Scholarship Fund) This will give the donor an automatic strike in the 3-6-9 frames of a single game. A ticket shall be given with the donor’s name. This ticket may be presented at the beginning of any game to a tournament director. A Donor may purchase no more than two 3-6-9 tickets.
Side Pots: Donors who purchased a 3-6-9 ticket will use scores bowled with tickets for all side pots.
