Showcasing your photography in a Zine: devise, design, distribute!
Join us at Whitespace for an exciting and practical event.
Jo Birch will lead us on a whirlwind tour from the spark of a project idea right through to seeing your Zine on a bookstore shelf.
We’ll explore:
- Creating and shaping a photography project
- Choosing between Zine and photobook formats
- The joys and challenges of the curating process
- Laying out your images and text (project descriptions, captions, bio)
- Approaching booksellers and getting your zine out into the world
Along the way, Jo will introduce useful platforms such as Canva and Heyzine (other options available!). You’re welcome to bring your laptop or tablet and try things out during the session. Wifi is available, but please bring your own hotspot/mifi if possible.
Expect a fast-moving, practical and thought-provoking workshop — tailored to your questions and interests. A great place to start… or to get unstuck.
