About this Event
Bring a project, grab a drink (until 5:30) and settle in for a evening of communal productivity.
This type of "show up & write" event uses a neurodivergent-friendly approach called body doubling to enable people to get work done. While there is the opportunity to network with local writers & authors, you don't have to be working on a creative project to attend! Bring homework, emails, a sketchbook, or simply journal!
Whatever you're hoping to accomplish, we're here to provide a low-distraction, encouraging environment where it can happen.
There is no cost to attend, although we always appreciate donations to help keep pepo running. Masking is encouraged at this event, and we will have KN95 masks available.
Schedule:
4-5:30: show up, find a seat, grab a drink & chat with other attendees (or start working early!)
5:00-5:30: formal introductions (name, pronouns, what you're working on/hoping to accomplish - sharing is optional!)
5:30: Writing Time! Please bring earbuds or headphones if you want to listen to music while working. We aim for one 10 minute breaks every hour to stretch, use the bathroom, and chat.
7:40: Quiet writing time ends, feel free to keep working or share/celebrate what you got done 🎉
8:00: Event ends
