Featuring: Show Pony Makes No Difference Release Set Uncanny Valley (Calgary, AB) Bland (Winnipeg, MB) This is sponsored and supported by Alt 94.3 and Alt Hotel Winnipeg.____SHOW PONYShow Pony is a wild ride through the heart of rock and roll, dressed to thrill in cowboy hats, snake skin boots, and a shimmer of sequins. With a raw fusion of gutsy punk energy and arena-shaking rock n roll, they pull listeners into their electrifying, glam-soaked universe. Their sound is a high-octane mix of soaring melodies, blistering spaghetti-western riffs, and infectious choruses that stick in your head long after the show ends. Drawing from the grit of The Gun Club, and the rebellious edge of bands like X and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Show Pony creates a live experience thats equal parts spectacle and soundleaving crowds dazzled, breathless, and wanting more. Hot off of their debut single Lightning, as well as a western tour, Show Pony will return to the Park Theatre to release their second single Makes No Difference. This is their second single off their debut EP, produced by Ryan Worsley. UNCANNY VALLEY A shadowy homage to 80s post-punk, Uncanny Valley conjures a soundscape that feels both timeless and otherworldly. Their debut LP Fevering Stare jumps from cold-wave moodiness to goth-pop melodies that stick in the mind and sink into the hips. Its like The Cure and Tones on Tail merged melody and dissonance together, make them welcome from their native Calgary.: BLANDBlands debut EP Consumable Collection carves out a sound all their own, with jagged guitars, driving rhythms, and vocals caught somewhere between comedy and collapse. The opening single Panacea brims with tension while staying danceable, its lyrics searching for a cure to internal dilemmas that span the scientific to the ritualistic. Across five tracks, the EP captures the nervy energy of a band thats hard to pin down but impossible to ignore.
