Shouldered by Gospels and Giants

Join us on February 8th at Martin Hall in Fort Worth, TX, for a special Black History Month concert celebrating the legacy of Black women in opera. The evening will feature arias from the iconic roles of operatic artists, including Grace Bumbry, Shirley Verrett, and Jessye Norman, whose artistry paved the way for future generations. In the second half, we will present a selection of art songs and spirituals, honoring the inspiration these works continue to provide for black artists in classical music.
