Shorts Collection and Round Table Discussion x McCord Museum

For our Short Films Collection, which features films from around the world, including narratives produced by Canadian, Asian-Canadian and Korean artists, are: (It’s) The Pits (2022) by Sal Eigh Blue Like a Gun Shot (2003) by Masoud Raouf Yikingying Spaces (2021) by Kimura Byol Lemoine; Industrious Spaces of a Forgotten Past (2014) by soJin CHUN; Fanning (2020) by JEON Yejin; Nipple War 3 (2021) by PAEK Siwon; Melody (2021) by KIM Younjeong. A KFFC staff member and emerging artist, Fanny Lord-Bourcier, has two rhythmical animations that will also be screened in the short section, including Jardin (2022) and The Midnight Shift (2022), which is co-directed with Maggie Zeng. Access to most of the shorts will be available for free on our website from May 29 to June 12 after the in-person festival is over.

After the screening of our Short Films Collection, we will have a round table discussion with five directors. The directors who will be joining us are Masoud Raouf (Blue Like a Gun Shot), Kimura Byol Lemoine (yikingying spaces), Sal Eigh ((It's) the Pits), Maggie Zeng (The Midnight Shift), and Fanny Lord-Bourcier (Jardins and The Midnight Shift).
