Musical theatre star Joaquin Pedro Valdes and award-winning filmmaker and RISFF festival director Vanessa Bailey host the SHORTiES MiXER!
FIVE award-winning short films, two fantastic industry hosts and a chance to enjoy and celebrate the best in independent storytelling and filmmaking from around the world.
Joaquin and Vanessa will present the RISFF Judges Picks - four of the very best Award Winners from the 2024 Richmond International Screenwriting & Film Festival. All of these short films have gone on to win further awards on the international festival circuit, including Oscar-qualifying, BIFA and BAFTA qualifying festivals.
PLUS a special screening of award-winning short film We Need to Talk, starring Tristan Gemmill (Casualty, EastEnders, Coronation Street, The Crown)
Written & produced by Vanessa Bailey, directed by Andrea M Catinella and shot in Richmond-upon-Thames, We Need to Talk has just begun its festival journey and has already picked up a Best Cinematography award.
There will be plenty of time to chat and meet new friends and our bar will be open both before and after the screenings, stocked with reasonably-priced alcoholic and soft drinks, crisps and chocolate nibbles!
