If you have visited the Short Threads exhibition and want to try your hand at surface embroidery with a touch of metal, come and spend a few hours with freelance embroiderer Jo Dixey (Instagram: @dixeysoul) and stitch this tiny patch. Using just 2 stitches you’ll create an abstract piece of embroidery in your own choice of colours which can be turned into a brooch or framed as a tiny artwork.Newcomers (including absolute beginners) and experienced stitchers welcome. Morning tea and all materials provided.
