About this Event
Produced by Alexis Bittar & Bruce Cohen, this documentary explores the American flag as a symbol of unity for all Americans, particularly the LGBTQ+ community, and features interviews with numerous thought leaders and artists. Following the 30-minute screening of Reclaim the Flag, we will host a panel discussion with:
- Alexis Bittar, designer, filmmaker and co-producer of the documentary
- Luchina Fisher, Visiting Assistant Professor of Film, Fairfield University Department of Visual and Performing Arts
- Shane Vogel, Professor of English and Black Studies, and Chair of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies, Yale University
- And moderator, Sean Edgecomb, Associate Professor of Theatre and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Fairfield University Department of Visual and Performing Arts
