Course Overview

This 10-week course offers a comprehensive introduction to the art of traditional animation, making it ideal for beginners, as well as anyone considering further studies in animation.

In the first four weeks, you'll explore the theory and principles of traditional animation, practicing essential techniques through guided exercises. You'll also learn to use Adobe Premiere Pro to digitize and animate hand-drawn images, bringing your drawings to life.

In the final six weeks, you'll apply your skills to create a short animated project of your choice. This part of the course covers advanced topics such as planning, timing, and incorporating sound. By the end of the course, you'll have a solid understanding of the basic rules of traditional animation and the confidence to create your own animated works.

Term starts on 8th October. There will be 10 sessions, and there will be a half term break on the week of 28th October. All session dates listed below:

All sessions will be held in the Digital Skills Centre at our College Road Campus. Sessions will start at 6.30pm and will finish at approximately 9pm.
