Even a structure built to defend the nation can get invaded by litter...Come out to Fort Washington Park to clean up garbage from its shoreline! Meet a park ranger at the lighthouse parking area at 9:30 AM, where gloves, trash grabbers, and bags will be provided. Bring water and wear sturdy close-toed shoes you won't mind getting dirty.
Can't make this event? Fort-unately, it occurs the second Saturday of every month, so there are plenty more chances to defend the fort's landscape against advancing litter.
