This campaign is personal to the head of team #kilnerstrong, Meaghan Kilner, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma when she was 15. She underwent the standard decades-old treatment, which had numerous side effects and did not prevent the cancer from returning just a few months later. At that point, Meaghan had the opportunity to enroll in a clinical to get her into remission. She has now been cancer free for 4.5 years and is studying biochemistry at Vanderbilt in hopes of going to medical school and becoming a doctor. Without the support of organizations like LLS, the groundbreaking therapies like the ones Meaghan received would not be possible; in addition, LLS supported and continues to support Meaghan and her family as they navigate blood cancer survivorship.
