Join us for our weekly Saturday morning road ride! Meet at Trek Store of Greenville at 7:15am (7:30am roll-out), for a casual-paced (12-15mph) morning cruise around Greenville.The goal of this group is to stretch the legs, enjoy some company on the bike, and get a little workout in to start the day. Advanced riders may not break a sweat. This is a SOCIAL ride. If you want to go race-pace or get your intervals in, this is not necessarily ride for you.
Rules of the Ride:
- This is a NO-DROP ride.
- Obey all rules of the road, traffic signals, etc.
- NO JERKS ALLOWED! Act like a jerk, you will get asked not to return.
- No riding more than two abreast or crossing the double yellow line to pass (State Law)
- In the interest of keeping the group consistent, this is a ROAD BIKE ONLY ride. We will host other events for mountain bike, hybrid bike, and cruiser bike riders, in the future. No aero bar usage in the group.
- E-Road Bikes are allowed, but riders' speed must be consistent with the pace of the group and obey all other rules of the ride.
- No attacking. You attack the group, we change the route and you're on your own. EXCEPTION: We sometimes have Climb Zones and Sprint Zones. Those will be announced before the ride start.
- The group stays together. After climbs, sprints, or any separation, the group will slow down, congregate, then continue on our route.
Things to bring:
- Bike
- Water bottles
- Nutrition (Gels, Snacks)
- Flat Repair Kit
- Headlight/Taillight
- Helmet
- Pump
- Any other accessories you need to enjoy the ride
Trek Store of Greenville will provide coffee and light breakfast snacks for guests, post-ride.
The shop will be open VERY BRIEFLY, in the event that someone needs an essential item before we roll out. Please come prepared, so the group doesn't have to wait around. Departure time is firm.
We will be back to the shop around 9:30am, to give our employees time to get ready to open at 10am.
Inclement weather cancels the ride. If it's below 40 degrees, raining, snowing, any emergency weather warnings or the like... ride's off.
