Welcome to our 4th annual Shop Small Makers Market!! Makers Central is a shared studio space in the heart of Tarrytown whose mission is to build a collaborative, productive work environment where like-minded maker businesses flourish. Here, we are a community of members who focus on handmade, functional goods for home and hospitality.
For two weekends each holiday season we transform the studio into a giant artisanal walking market, inviting a whole slew of like-minded local businesses to bring our guests the very best handmade shopping shopping experience. It’s but a few times each year that we invite the public into our workshop like this, but when we do, we make sure it’s worth it!
During this open studio, you'll peruse through unique collections of handmade ceramic, paper, wood, concrete, leather, steel, fabric, floral & food creations. Not only that, you’ll get to learn about the kilns, printing presses, forges, lathes and unique processes that are put to use each day to craft these beautiful works of functional art right here in Tarrytown.
While you’re at it, feel free to try a sample of beer or bourbon from one of our favorite local breweries or distilleries. For each market we bring in a few of our fellow makers who focus on the more drinkable and edible crafts. From beer to bread, coffee to bourbon, we’ll have lots to explore and taste!
