We have confirmed the date of the next Sholing Valleys AGM, where we will be officially enrolling our newest volunteers for Committee. We will have tea and cake as ever, and will review the great year we've had in 2025.
We always welcome new volunteers to help us manage what we do at Sholing Valleys.
Are you looking to connect to your community, make new friends, or help nature in Southampton? Then we would love to hear from you. Volunteers are essential to our success. We couldn't do the great things we do without people lending a hand.
There are different ways you could help support us.
We are mainly looking for help with our education activities. We would like someone to help support our Nature Watch sessions that happen once a month on the last Sunday. We have a dedicated activity lead, who currently plans and runs the sessions, but they could do with any extra pair of hands.
Or perhaps you are more interested in governance. If you can help steer the charity and help us make 2025 the best year for Sholing then you might also want to join our Committee. We would love to hear from you.
Being on our committee means coming to a meeting in an evening once a month. Its a great way to make sure Sholing Valleys delivers on the activities that you want to see happen on the reserve. And we are a lovely bunch of people!
If you would like to join our Committee, we ask that you attend our AGM. We also ask that you give us at least 10 days notice prior to the meeting, so we can arrange everything we need to.
