City of Darwin invites you to explore a special behind-the-scenes visit to the Northern Territory’s largest waste and resource recovery facility. The Shoal Bay Open Day is a fun and informative event for the whole community. Come along and learn how your waste is managed, how we reduce landfill, and what you can do at home to support a more sustainable city.

🚌 Guided bus tours running every 30 minutes starting at 9:00 am with the last bus leaving at 11:30 am (no bookings required)
🌱 Composting workshop by OrganicAg from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
