Shiv Pooja and Abhishek are performed every Monday at 6:00 pm and devotees are invited to participate in the pooja. Following invocation of Lord Ganesh, water, milk, curds, ghee, and honey, are interspersed by water being poured on the Shivling. Devotees recite, mantras such as Maha Mritunjaya mantra and “Om Namah Shivaya” with devotion. Finally Sandalwood paste is applied to the Shivling. Our trained priests recite Rudrashtakam during the Abhishek. Pooja is performed following recitation of Ashtottara of Lord Shiva.
During the week, devotees are invited to do Abhishek with water or milk on the Shivling, whenever they visit the temple, when the altar is available.
