Please note, this hike is for experienced hikers who are able to maintain a reasonable pace of about 4kmh.We will meet in the upper Binna Burra carpark at 7:45am for the 8:00am start.
We will hike the Ships Stern circuit with highlights including Upper Ballanjui Falls, Lower Ballanjui Falls, and Kooloobano Point Lookout which offers great view of the Numinbah Valley and Hinze Dam
The total distance will be about 25km with about 1000m of elevation gain and I expect we will take around 7 hours (taking our time and stopping in multiple places).
The maximum group size will be strictly 15 people so that we stick to NPWS guidelines and also for safety reasons as there is limited space at some of the places.
You will need sunscreen and insect repellant and enough food and drink that you would usually take on an all-day hike.
Please note that I am not an official guide and therefore not responsible for everyone's safety, I am just organising a group of like minded people to go on a hike together.
