About this Event

Join Cultured Forest for a guided Forest Bathing Mini-Session in the Hallett Nature Sanctuary in Central Park NYC. This session will be led by our Founder Brooke Mellen who you may have seen in Vogue and WSJ Magazine. She trained in Forest Medicine with Dr. Li in Japan.

Forest Bathing is based on a Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku that involves connecting with nature by “Bathing in the Forest Atmosphere”. Studies show time in nature lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity and reduces stress. In this activity, you will indulge with fellow nature lovers in relaxing mindfulness and self-care in a guided outdoor class. Plan to see some of the most natural settings of the park, while learning activities that allow you to better connect with nature and mindfully find calm. Leave feeling centered, connected and more at peace. Plan to see some of our favorite Urban Trees. We are excited to end this session with a tea ceremony.

Attendees must be 8 years or older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This will require about a mile of hiking with some stairs and walking up and down steep inclines and over rocks.

Masks and social distancing will be required of anyone who has not had the Covid Vaccine per CDC and NYC regulations. We are limiting the size of this group to 9 people .

This event will start at 6th Avenue and Central Park South (59th Street) in Central Park NYC. Exact Meeting location will be provided upon registration.
