Did you know House of Shine hosts an Artisan Market every November where students, aged 8-18, can sell handmade products to local community members? Do you have a young Entrepreneur in your life who would love to participate, but might not know where to start or what to make? Well you're in luck!!
Introducing SHINE U: Maker's Edition, our newest program series! Each class will be taught by local experts and will encourage young Artisans, aged 8-14, to experiment with a wide variety of mediums. The ultimate goal is for participants to fall in love with a medium and dive deeper into it, independently, to create a product and eventually bring it to Market.
This week, we will be making Handmade Greeting Cards! Participants will work with crafting expert, Peggy Sue Robinson, to learn a variety of card making skills. We will start by walking step-by-step through a simple design to learn the basics of handmade greeting cards including color choice and paper piecing layering techniques. Participants will then get to unleash their personal creative genius by utilizing a variety of exciting supplies to make a card collection of their very own!

I have over 30 years experience being a creative. I specialize in personalized & whimsical greeting cards, paper crafts, and mixed media art. I like to design unique art that celebrates extraordinary events and remarkable people in our lives.
