About this Event
SHINE U is an in-house program that highlights the letters "H" hobbies, "I" interests/irritants and "E" experiences from our SHINE framework. The objective is to foster discovery, exploration and experimentation for our participants in a low stakes kind of way. SHINE U workshops connect people with unique hobbies, interests/irritants & experiences to help promote learning, diversity, inclusivity and community.
In this workshop, facilitated by Natalia Michel, you're letting the creativity flow! You will use different art mediums to decorate your journal, giving it a "personified" feel. By decorating the cover of your journal, you are bringing to life a new "friend". Through this process, you will have created the space to share your thoughts and feelings with.
Meet Our Facilitator: Natalia Michel
Natalia is a recent UNT graduate, with a degree in English, and is excited to use her creative abilities in facilitating this SHINE U! Natalia uses journaling as a creative outlet for self expression, through the use of different art techniques. Her favorite technique at the moment is creating art collages through multiple mediums such as cardstock, construction paper, and colored pens. She will share her love of art as well as the method of using journaling as a form of expression.
All participants must bring a journal.
