Shine: A Radiant Celebration of Christmas Music by Women
Join us for Shine, the final concert in Mirabilis Collective's Illuminate 2024 series—a celebration of Christmas music composed and arranged by remarkable women across centuries. Held at the stunning Wigmore Studio, overlooking the beautiful Somerville Auditorium, this performance will illuminate your Sunday with music that sparkles and inspires.
The program features a unique collection of beloved carols, contemporary works, and festive classics, including Christine Anu's "My Island Christmas", Joni Mitchell's "River", and a world premiere by West Australian songwriter Julia Nicholls. This vibrant holiday concert will be performed by some of Perth's most talented musicians, including Lucinda Nicholls and Rachel Singer (sopranos), Julia Nicholls (soprano/violin), Tresna Stampalia (flute), Elena Wittkuhn (cello), and Stephanie Nicholls (oboe/piano), with narration by Perth's beloved jazz diva Ali Bodycoat.
After the concert, join us for Bubbles and Brownies in the courtyard—a perfect way to end the year with good company and festive cheer.
