This month's Shift Drink™ will take place on Friday, May 27th at a local CCC Training Center near you! Come by for a coffee at any time between 11am - 2pm. We'd love to see you!
Shift Drink™ is a monthly pop-up coffee shop that aims to raise awareness for local non-profit organizations in our regional communities. We are thrilled to re-open our Training Center doors and share coffee again, with a format and style that reflects the changing world. Every month we will feature a different coffee and a unique signature beverage developed by our regional teams.
This month we are raising money for NAMI Chicago, a not-for-profit advocacy group that provides critical services to people with mental illness. NAMI promotes community wellness, breaks down barriers to mental health care and provides support and expertise for families, professionals and individuals in Chicago and beyond. We are excited to fundraise for NAMI Chicago during the May Shift Drink event!

Circumstances may change at any moment— in the event that hosting this gathering poses a public risk, we reserve the right to cancel. Since our inception in 1995, Counter Culture Coffee has hosted regular weekly tasting events in our Training Centers. What started as an internal tradition of Friday morning cuppings at CCC headquarters in Durham, NC, grew into the national public Tasting at Ten events. Here we explored different coffees, brewing methods, ideas, and stories not just with our colleagues and peers but with anyone who might be even just a little bit curious about coffee.
While we didn’t know it then, we hosted our last Tasting at Ten event on March 6, 2020. A 25-year-old tradition changed, along with the rest of the world.
It has been quite some time since we’ve hosted public events in our Training Centers. After many months of careful planning and consideration, we are eager to reactivate our spaces and welcome you back to the newest iteration of Friday tastings with Shift Drink™.
