Shibori Taster Session

Come join us for a fun and interactive introduction to the art of Shibori at Coreset!

Shibori is a resist dyeing technique in which areas of fabric are folded, clamped, bound or stitched before being dipped into dye. This simple process results in very detailed and beautiful patterns. You will be surprised and proud of your creations.

In this taster session you will learn a variety of techniques and will be using natural dyes. All fabrics will be provided along with ideas on what to do with your creations.

Your tutor is Kay Davis, Coreset resident textile artist and costume maker, who takes her inspiration from textiles disciplines including Sashiko, Boro and Shibori.
