In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a stunning one-of-a-kind piece using hand-dyed Silk Shibori Ribbon, sparkling beads, and crystals. You’ll learn how to hand-sew your own unique design — whether a brooch, pendant, or fabric embellishment to frame and display. Choose your own colour palette and level of detail, from simple bold styles to intricate beadwork — the possibilities are endless!All materials are provided, including a beautiful piece of hand-dyed Silk Shibori Ribbon in your choice of colours, plus a selection of beads, crystals, and charms to complete your masterpiece.

What: Hands-on silk shibori ribbon workshop, creating a stunning piece of jewellery or an embellishment.
When: Friday 30th January 2026, 10:00am to 1:30pm.
Where: The Shed – 27 Birchington Street, Beckenham
Who: Suitable for beginners right through to the more experienced embroiderer/beader.
Facilitator: Long-time member and Group Leader of the Embroiderers’ Guild of WA, Wendy of WJM Workshops loves exploring new techniques and sharing her knowledge through teaching. Wendy finds great joy in seeing her students grow in skill and confidence as they complete their projects.
Price: GWC Members $70, Non-members $85.
Catering: Tea and coffee included. Bottled water and soft drinks $2 each.
Parking: Free parking is available inside our main gate, along the street, or in the vacant lot beside the premises.
Other: Participants should bring a small pair of sharp scissors and a beading mat if you have one.
