Please find below all the information you need regarding workshop attendance.
Date: Saturday 28th September, 2024

East Gosford (entrance at the rear of the building)
You will be given comprehensives notes and instruction on how to get started with the process of Shibori. We begin with creating the Indigo Dye Vat from scratch, and while the vat matures and is ready to be used, we will explore the many ways that patterns on fabric can be created using a variety of readily available household implements.
OH&S issues will be also be discussed.
All materials supplied, and includes 1 tea towel, and 1 scarf length, several pieces of fabric squares to practise folding, clamping, binding etc.
What you should bring:
· Dark coloured old clothing should be worn in case dye is splashed onto your clothing.
· Apron, a coffee mug, lunch, bottle of water.
· Rubbber gloves are a must.
· Any extra items for dying – t-shirts, tablecloth, pillowcase, cushion covers, napkins, etc. Natural fibres take up the dye best.
· Your enthusiasm.
You will need to wear closed in shoes while working in the studio for work health & safety reasons.
