Ready to start your journey into suspension? While there are many ways to enjoy rope that do not involve suspension, there’s also no denying the potential for fun and beauty that come along with taking your rope interactions airborne. This class series is designed to help develop and progress the techniques needed to engage with rope suspension.

When beginning or advancing your suspension technique, real-time and in-person feedback is critical. This six-part series of 4 hour classes covers suspension-worthy harnesses and upline management for suspension as well as begins to explore in-air movement, or transitions. Risk mitigation techniques for those tying and being tied will be a constant theme in every class. While the best experience will be for those who attend all classes, students may attend classes a la carte as well.

Instructor: TwistedLily (she/her) is, among other things, a bondage enthusiast who has been active as a tying person and educator since 2013. Lily has had the privilege of sharing her passion for rope and other kinky topics with a variety of groups including Whippersnappers, Southeast Leatherfest (SELF), Black Atlanta Munch, Queer Women in Kink, WHIMPER, Rope Bite Atlanta, Frolicon, and Hitchin’ Bitches Atlanta.

***Important Note: The pace of learning exists on a wide spectrum and it may take more or less time for different tying pairs to feel comfortable with aspects of suspension. Instructors will adapt class content to those in attendance to the extent possible, but please read the prerequisites and evaluate your current skill sets against them honestly.

Frequently Asked Questions:

WHAT IF I HAVE TO MISS A DAY?

While we can't guarantee a make-up day, we will work with to make sure you get all the instruction. The lab/coaching days are designed for those that need extra help to catch up to the class as well. Missing a day won't ruin the course for you!

I JUST WANT SOME DAYS, HOW DO I BOOK THEM?

On the class page, select "Show all dates" then select the specific day you wish to book and continue like normal. You'll do this for each day you wish to book.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR THIS?

Make sure you eat lunch before class so your brain is well-fueled! Also, be sure to practice good hygiene beforehand so everyone is comfortable with the closeness shibari requires :)

WHAT DO I WEAR?

You want form-fitting clothes you can move freely in. Think yoga-attire! Just avoid anything too silky/slippery as it may make it harder to keep ropes where you place them. Also, for those being tied, avoid t-shirts or baggy clothes.

I'M A MEMBER, HOW DO I GET MY 50% DISCOUNT?

When you book, you probably see a message saying you can't use your membership, but that's only because it doesn't make it free. Click "Book Without Membership" to be taken to checkout and your discount will be automatically applied!
