Sherrye Johnson-Trafton will be back at Moonlight Equestrian Center January 31, 2021. This clinic will be a bit different than the last 2 obstacle clinics. Private and semi-private 1 hour sessions will be offered. Any obstacles individuals wish to work on must be brought by the participant. Sherrye trains all breeds and many disciplines including but not limited to: in-hand, dressage, hunters, pleasure driving and western. Covid-19 Requirements include:
-Humans are required to have NOT traveled out of New England within 14 days of arriving at the farm.
-Masks must be worn inside the barn.
-Everything used (stalls, hose, gates...) must be sanitized after use.
-The liability form must be signed before working your horse on the property. -Stalls may be available at an extra cost of $25 for day. Feeding, care, hay, shavings, buckets, grain must be supplied by the owner.
**Horses are required to have a current coggins test within 1 year, Rabies vaccine, Flu/Rhino vaccine and Strangles vaccine (unless advised against by a veterinarian).
Sherrye's Biography:
Sherrye Johnson Trafton trains all breeds and multi-disciplines: dressage, hunters, pleasure driving and western events at her full-service training facility, Sable Oak Equestrian Center. She was selected by Animals in Hollywood to provide equine services for the Mel Gibson movie, Man Without a Face, and has trained numerous youth and adults to national championship titles. Sherrye has performed at venues such as Equitana & Equine Affaire. She is a graduate of Findlay College’s Equine Science Program. In 2005, Sherrye Johnson Trafton was inducted into the Findlay College Equine Studies Hall of Fame.

Sherrye holds memberships in NSBA, NRHA, NCHA, GCDHA, USDF, USEF, NEHC, AQHA Pro Horseman and ARHA. She is a life member of MeQHA and AQHA & NSBA.
Sherrye has served as a judge’s steward for the All American Quarter Horse Congress, AQHYA World Championship Show and paddock judge at the All American QH Congress.
She travels all over the world judging and teaching clinics and offers equal time and respect to her four-year old beginner students as she does to her advanced equestrians.
