Learn to identify and survey butterflies with Butterfly Conservation and the Sherbourne Valley Project. Transport provided!
About this Event

Learn how to ID the UK's butterfly species at one of the best sites in the Midlands! A real treat of a day, with Butterfly Conservation's John Tilt and Jennifer Tabb, Education & Training Officer from the Sherbourne Valley Project.

We have the use of the Wildlife Trust minibus so transport is provided from Brandon Marsh at 9am, with a pickup at Asda (Whitley) at around 9:15.

This day is for anyone who is interested in butterflies, and you will learn how to identify the species and introduce the survey techniques with a view to people helping the Sherbourne Valley Project by undertaking butterfly surveys on our sites in the future. The day will start with a talk from John about the species and how to survey for butterflies and following lunch, a walk around the wood to find and identify as many butterflies and day flying moths as we can, before returning back to Coventry for around 5pm.

Bring your own lunch.

See FAQs for more information.
